Turf health,
measured by
the inch.

We test the soil before we treat it. Six precision visits a year: fertilization, pre-emergent, perimeter pest, aeration. Calibrated to your property, not a route sheet.

The Difference

Every property gets a soil report.

Before we apply anything, we core-sample your lawn and test for pH, organic matter, nitrogen, potassium, and phosphorus. The report tells us what your soil actually needs — not what's on the truck this week.

01Tested at the start of every season. A full soil panel in early spring, before treatment.
02Re-tested mid-season. A moisture probe + spot pH check at visit four.
03Documented & shared. You get a written report after every test. Yours to keep.

The Annual Program

Six visits. One healthy lawn.

Each visit is precisely scheduled around soil temperature, growth cycle, and your property's specific needs — not the calendar date.

01
Early Spring
Pre-emergent + soil test
Crabgrass barrier applied at 50°F soil temp. Full soil panel sampled.
02
Late Spring
Fertilization + pest
Slow-release N-P-K blended to soil report. First perimeter pest application.
03
Early Summer
Perimeter pest + broadleaf
Peak emergence barrier. Spot-treat dandelion, clover, plantain.
04
Mid Summer
Feed + peak pest
Iron + summer-safe N. Heaviest-pressure perimeter pest application.
05
Early Fall
Aeration + fall pest
Mechanical core aeration. Box elder bug + cluster fly barrier.
06
Late Fall
Winterizer + final barrier
Cold-tolerant N blend. Final perimeter pest application before frost.

The Practice

A small turf practice, built around how this valley actually works.

“There are plenty of companies who'll spray your lawn on a Tuesday. We test it on Monday and treat it on Thursday — and only with what it actually needs.”

Bear River Turf Co. is a small turf practice operating throughout Cache Valley, Utah. We started it because most lawn care in the valley wasn't matching the soil it was being done on — too much spray-and-go, too little measurement, too many programs that ignored the property in front of them.

We do it differently: soil first, calendar second, calibrated to each property. Eighty residential lawns a year, all within thirty miles of Logan.

NOW BOOKING · 2026 SEASON

We take on 80 properties a year. Not 800.

Keeping the property count low is how we keep the service quality high. Reserve your spot for the 2026 season — assessments start in March.
